An All-Breed, All-Needs Rescue & Transport Team

Every Dog Counts Rescue is a non-profit (501c3), all-volunteer dog rescue, founded to save the lives of dogs in high-kill shelters in the Midwest. Through partnerships with rescues in areas
of the country with less over-population than we have here, we are able to save approx 900 dogs per year.

Our "rescue partners" must practice in the
same way that we do for local adoptions... they must:
- be foster-based
- spay/neuter 100%
- make lifetime commitment to each dog
- do home visits prior to all placements

We have a soft spot for underdogs at EDCR, so we tend to take in lots of bully breeds, and lots of dogs with special medical needs. We believe that foster dogs are not 2nd class citizens, so they get the same veterinary care we would seek for our own dogs, no matter the cost. Orthopedic and neurological surgeries typically cost $1000-3500, so it certainly gets expensive! We are forever grateful to our supporters and Facebook Friends, who make our work possible!
